When she visited before Christmas, she brought some felting supplies and showed me how to make some little felted critters. She made the tree, and I made the gingerbread man. We used cookie cutters to get the shapes. It was super fun and not too hard. Penny assumed they were both for her and has been playing with them ever since. I think they would be cute ornaments.

Crafty family: wool felting
My MIL recently took up wool felting. She made this sweet little purse out of an old wool coat! I love how she used the buttons from the coat for the closure and decoration on the flower. So cute!

Once Penny loses interest in them I would date them on the back and put them away for your tree next year. I have lots of things Tom made over the years on mine. Some people do themed trees but I like mine with things that bring back happy memories. They turned out really cute and I like the purse too.
