Kids' Clothes Consignment

Have you all heard of thredUP? It is an online children's clothing consignment shop. I love to buy clothes used, especially children's clothes, as they wear them for such a short period of time. Sometimes it is a lot of work scouring consignment sales and shops, so I love the idea of browsing online. I think this site would be especially good for harder to find brands. I usually buy most of Penny's clothes from lower-cost brands like Old Navy and then buy her a few items from higher-priced brands like Keen and Patagonia. Some items are worth spending a little more to get better quality, but those items are sometimes hard to find used. The prices at thredUP seem to be pretty comparable to prices I've seen in my local children's consignment stores. Some things on this site are even new with tags, which would make great gifts. You can also sell back your old gently-used stuff. It is all so green between the low overhead of online shops and the reusing of existing items rather than stimulating the production of more. This is exactly the type of business I like to support. You can use this link to open an account and get $10 off your first order (I will get $10 credit too! Maybe I will buy you something.). You can also click through the ad below to get 25% off your first order before February 4th! So many ways to save. Gotta love that.

As soon as I heard about thredUP, I knew it would be a great partnership for me. I am always on the lookout for companies and brands that fit with my values, but I am very picky about the companies and products that I will recommend and share. They are always companies that I personally patronize, so you can be sure you are getting recommendations from a reliable source.
