Olive's Owl Nest

I never had a sweet little mobile for Penny, and I really wanted to get something cute for Olive. Have you priced mobiles lately? They are absurdly expensive, so I made one. I had the mobile arm leftover from a less-beautiful one I had before, which helped simplify this project and bring my total cost to $0 (since I already had all materials on hand).

I used this owl pincushion tutorial, but I left off the legs and made the beaks all different shaped triangles. I love these little guys!

Olive doesn't have a nursery–just a little corner of our bedroom, so I like that I was still able to give her a little themed space with some homemade cuteness. Some more on the other owls in these pictures: The poufy owl is a Jellycat, which are the best stuffed animals, and is actually named Olive Owl! The other two are from See Kate Sew, one made by Kate and the other by me from her pattern. The one Kate made says "Owl love you forever" on the back. I sure will, Miss Olive. I sure will.
